About Itsy Bitsy Childcare:
Itsy Bitsy Childcare started in New York City in 2003. The business began with just a few employees, providing childcare for families in all the five boroughs. After several busy years in New York, the west coast called--it was time to take my business to the next level in Los Angeles. Now we have expanded our services to include Birth Doula Services, Newborn Care, Lactation Support and Sleep Training. I’m proud to say that we have helped care for over 100 babies!
Evidence suggests, and I strongly believe, the best way to create healthy, self-sufficient adults is to give them a structured and secure environment when they are young.
“If a doula were a drug, it would be
unethical not to use it.”
- John H. Kennell, MD
About Laura:
I’ve been in the childcare industry for almost 20 years. I have over 10,000 hours of experience caring for infants and newborns. I have a baby of my own and 8 nieces and nephews. I’m involved in DONA, the INA, the NCSA and many other organizations that move the industry forward. I have many high profile clients and maintain confidentiality, with or without an NDA. I operate as a registered LLC and can provide W9s upon request.
Having a baby is a life altering event. Problems can arise from birth throughout the first three years; including lactation, sleep, solid foods, potty training, temper tantrums, etc. With Itsy Bitsy, my clients have one place they can turn to for answers. With postpartum support, the instances of Postpartum Mood and Anxiety disorders are decreased. With labor support, more birthing people experience positive birth outcomes and less interventions. With sleep support, parents report less martial discord and a more productive return to work.
“We may start as strangers but we will end as family” - Laura
I began taking care of children at an early age and found they were my greatest source of inspiration. I love my career and consider it a calling to help new families get off to a great start. I am a CACHE certified NCS, Certified Birth Doula with DONA, Certified Lactation Educator and Counselor, trained in Sleepwonders and by The Family Sleep Institute. I am a Reiki practitioner and a proud member of the Newborn Care Specialist Associaton and the International Nanny Association. I married my best friend in 2015 and we welcomed our baby boy into the world in 2017. Family is everything to me, and has been the key to my development as a childcare professional. My hobbies include trapeze, martial arts, snowboarding and Pilates. I encourage positivity, efficiency and adaptability.

“
Being a new mom to twin boys was harder than I could ever imagine. It was hard to even ask for help. I view Laura as our guardian angel—she really helped us get over the new parent hump and supported us with our own vision for our family.

I hired Laura Stockton Lee as my night nurse for the first month. I still steer the ship, but without her, I'd be lost at sea. I have learned more from her in 3 weeks than I have learned from any well meaning family member or friend, book, doctor, video...Most importantly I have learned to trust myself and my gut. She has a gift. A gift she shares selflessly with me and everyone who crosses her path. I'm still mom, but this mom has a guiding light and some much needed sleep.
